Key comedy character - he is the daft and lazy but has boyish charm, and he's certainly not blessed with brains. The audience must love him. Loads of audience interaction, ability to ad lib. Billy needs to have plenty of pace and attack. Good singing voice and some dancing required.

King Norbert

Sleeping Beauty’s father, a loving parent, kindhearted and loves Aurora not a strong character, is bullied by everyone. Regal, haughty, with a slightly military energy but jolly. Good comedy timing as in the comedy scenes. Supporting role. Some singing and dancing required.

Fairy Peaceful

Cold-hearted, cruel, selfish, wicked, rude, envious, greedy, spiteful, strict, regal, sophisticated, sinister, controlling, snobbish and cunning. Competitive which leads to a good deal of comedy. Good singing and some dancing required.

Spindleshanks

A sexy/handsome & disreputable looking cat. Could be played by male or female. A talking cat! The feline friend and assistant of Carabosse – a sexy, glamorous cat who is much more human than feline. Who is childishly competitive, keen to be wicked, but has a sort of kooky charm. Needs to be a good mover and able to dance with confidence. Needs to sing too.
